Safeguarding Policy
Under the guidance of Dubai Government Authorities and in line with the UAE Federal Law No 3 of 2016, “Wadeema Law”, Dubai Center for Special Needs plays a major role in creating awareness about children and people of determination; making sure they are in a healthy, safe and inclusive environment which supports their wellbeing and development within our society.
We, at DCSN, trust that all children and people of determination must be provided with appropriate living standards, access to health services, education, equal opportunities in essential services and facilities without any kind of discrimination, and negligence.
The Dubai Center for Special needs ‘Safeguarding Policy sets clear guidelines about the Center responsibilities, the teachers and therapists’ active role in the protection of all students under our care, from any emotional, psychological and physical behavior or abuse.
We are continually providing training to all our staff and giving them the necessary guidance and right tools on how to recognize the signs and report any suspected case of neglect or abuse and what would be the best practices to handle such cases with utmost discretion and professionalism.
We also constantly educate our students about the importance of being safe physically and online; encouraging them to express their feelings and to report any experience of prejudice, bullying, discrimination or mistreatment.
